Food bank in Willesden Green

Mutual Aid Food Willesden (MAFW) distributes food and other aid to those in need locally, operating from the food bank in the Pakistan Community Centre (PCC), Marley Walk, NW2 4PU. We do this in collaboration with another Brent-based organisation, Sufra, and the Pakistan Welfare Association (PWA).

Every Tuesday our volunteers distribute food and essential items to people in urgent need. In addition, food parcels are prepared at the centre and delivered to households where no-one is able to collect from the food bank.

If you need help in either of these ways, call Brent Hubs, a council sponsored referral network, on 020 8937 6792 (Monday to Friday 11am to 3pm). You can also walk in to the food bank on Tuesdays 11am-2pm to speak to someone about the process.

While much of what we distribute is donated by supermarkets, shops and other charitable organisations, some items, including fresh fruit and vegetable and toiletries need to be bought. For this, and other essential overheads, we need your cash donations. Please consider helping us, via our Local Giving page, here. You can also donate via the Wonderful platform, which passes your entire donation straight to the charity, by clicking here. Gift aid is available on both sites. You can also contact us by email.

Volunteer

Our food bank would not be able to operate without our incredible volunteers, who work behind the scenes with admin and preparation throughout the week, at the food bank itself on Tuesdays and using their own cars to deliver parcels also on Tuesdays. More detail of how volunteers can help.

If you'd like to help us, including on Tuesdays between 11am and 2pm,  please send an email to MutualAidFoodWillesden@gmail.com, or leave a message on 07899 276966.

Mutual Aid Food Willesden is a great service which has come at the time when we need it most. We have a number of families who would not have been helped immediately in any other way. Barnardo’s is really grateful for the support.
